Poverty is at the root of forest destruction. Our dream is to break the economic necessity of this destruction by economically empowering the forest's inhabitants, while building a culture of giving back what is taken from the landscape.

We live by consuming, and by participating in a cycle of use of energy and matter. Hopefully, we do this conscious of our effect on that cycle, but most of us are no longer close enough to the raw materials and antiquated means of production once considered necessity. When we purchase something we provide support for an entire value chain, from its origins through each of the different operations that delivers it to us. We hope that these producers do their jobs as well and as responsibly as we imagine we do ours.
